Good news guys. Uber Cebu will resume the information seminars starting tomorrow, January 28, 2016. Aside from the information seminar, there will be an update on the TNVS submissions to the LTFRB. Please see below for the official e-mail from Uber.

UBER Cebu will resume information seminars tomorrow, January 28! If you have any questions or concerns about the sign up process, required documents, or about being an Uber Partner in general, please feel free to drop by and bring your friends. Details of the info seminars are as follows:

Where: 6/F 2Quad Building, Cardinal Rosales Avenue, Cebu Business Park

When: January 28 - 29 (Thursday and Friday), 4-6PM
and January 30 (Saturday) at 10:30AM

**Note: Due to venue constraints, only the first 40 attendees per session will be entertained on a first-come, first-served basis. Please come ON-TIME.**

OTHER IMPORTANT UPDATES: LTFRB SUBMISSIONS, TNVS

We expect to submit new TNVS applications to the LTFRB again soon. Please submit your TNVS-related documents as soon as possible! We cannot further process your application or proceed with onboarding any partners/drivers unless the owners of vehicles you've registered on the system submit their TNVS applications.

Weekday Peak Hour Driver Incentive Is Actually PhP300 for 3 trips, Not PhP200

So I got my payment statement this afternoon for the week of January 18-24, 2016. To my surprise, I earned extra PhP300 on my weekday peak hour drives, instead of just PhP200 as what was stated in the official announcement.

This is good news for part-time drivers as they only need to have at least 3 trips and at least 3 hours online during the weekday peak hour, which starts at 5PM and ends at 10PM on Mondays-Thursdays, and starts at 5PM and ends at 12MN on Fridays, as below.

Compared to other incentives this week, this is the best. Effectively, you'll get an additional of PhP100 per trip, compared to DAILY GOLD DRIVER of PhP80 per trip or the DAILY SILVER DRIVER at PhP71 per trip.

UPDATE (February 1, 2016): It seems that it was just a mistake on Uber's system. My payout for last week's weekday peak hour driver incentive was only PhP 200.

RIDER MUSIC: Play Your Own Music In Your Driver's Car

Rider Music: Play Your Own Music In Your Driver's Car

Did you know that you can play your own music in your driver's car during an Uber ride? Thanks to the feature called Rider Music. It allows riders to choose their own music to play through the Uber car's speakers during their trip.

Playing music in your driver's car is easy. Here's how to do it for iPhone users:

1. Request a ride as usual. If you get matched with a music-enabled Uber, the music bar will appear at the bottom of the Uber app.
2. Tap the music bar and choose a song from any of your Spotify playlists while you wait for your Uber to arrive.
3. Your playlist will start when your ride begins.

On Android? The Uber in-app music experience is coming soon, but you can still control your music through the Spotify app. After connecting your Spotify Premium account to Uber, tap the music bar to jump over to Spotify. Once your ride starts, tap the Now Playing bar in Spotify. Then tap the Connect icon and select “Uber Partner”. The music you choose will play through your car’s speakers.
