So you've heard of Uber's expansion in Cebu, but still don't know how to get started? In this post, I'll guide you through the entire process of signing up. Make sure to follow the steps for you to earn up to ₱600 credits on your first ride. There are two ways to sign up: one is through a browser, the other one is through the Uber app.
Signing up through a browser
Step 1: Go to https://get.uber.com/
Step 2: Fill in the required information.
- Your email account for Uber log-in
- Password for your Uber log-in (you can use your e-mail password here)
- Name
- Mobile # (make sure the prefix is +63 for Philippines, as below)
- Credit Card details (most ATM/debit cards work, too!)
- Sign-up through the Uber app (steps below) if you don't have credit/debit card.
- Postal code
Step 3: Confirm that the promo code (just below the postal code) is ubercebutipsue. Fill in ubercebutipsue if it’s not.
Step 4: Click CREATE ACCOUNT.
Signing up through the Uber app
Step 1: Download the Uber app. It is available on Google Play Store for Android devices and the App Store for iOS devices.

Step 2: Open the app and select REGISTER. Fill in your email, mobile and password. You can also use CONNECT WITH FACEBOOK.

Step 3: Create a profile. Fill in your First and Last name, then click NEXT.
Step 4: Fill in your card number, card expiry and CVV. Click 'enter promo code'. Fill in ubercebutipsue for the promo code, then click APPLY. You will be returned to LINK PAYMENT page, click DONE.
Step 5: Please enter the verification code sent to you via SMS. Click RESEND THE TEXT if you have not received it.
Once the verification is completed, the app will automatically proceed to the homescreen. You can now start to request for a car!
