Minimum Car Requirements for Uber Cebu

So you are interested to join as Uber Cebu partner, but wondering if your current car/s will be accepted? Or you are thinking to buy a brand new unit but would like to confirm first if the make and model are ok?

Uber Cebu will be offering only UberX

Uber Cebu will be offering only UberX, the low-cost Uber that covers compact and sub-compact vehicles, mini-SUVs and AUVs. Now, what about if you have a mid-sized sedan, an SUV or a Crossover? Will they be accepted? The answer is YES. However, they are not the optimum car for UberX and your ROI will be longer as the rates will be for UberX. In the next few days I'll be posting an article about the optimum cars for Uber Cebu, so if you are a driver, watch out for that.

Here are the other requirements that you should be aware of:

• The minimum age requirement for a vehicle upon applying for TNVS status is that it must be at least 3 years old or newer. 
• Any 4-door sedan (including hatchbacks), AUV, or SUV can be applied for. Two wheel vehicles, 2-door vehicles, pick-ups and vans with seating capacity of 10 or more are currently not accepted by LTFRB. 
• There is no minimum engine displacement, so a 0.8L Hyundai Eon or Suzuki Alto is acceptable.
• Any color can be registered, as long as it is unmarked (no operator names, logos etc).
• Last but not the least, no visible body damage or broken A/C.
